who we are
Mantle is a commercial developer and investor based close to Stansted and operating in a target area of London, the South East and Eastern England.The company was set up in the early 1990s by Guy Baker, initially to focus on development opportunities arising from the growth of Stansted Airport. The group has since the mid-1990s operated in the broader target area.
Mantle was a family business throughout its start-up and earlier growth phases, run by Guy, Lewis and Jamie Baker. But an enlarged senior management team and the introduction of a strong board of Non-Executive Directors has led to a restructure, enabling all senior management to participate in the future success of Mantle.
Mantle’s portfolio has been built up over the last twenty years and consists of office and industrial investments in Essex, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. Many of the assets were developed from scratch by Mantle.
